sound like a good deal?
1988 17’ Center Console Proline
new starter, new solenoid, new fuel ball pump, new plugs and wires, new throttle and engagement cables, new battery, new prop, new hydrofoil...the trailer is all new except the frame, new axel, hubs, bearings, bunks, lights, hardware, winch, tongue jack, hitch clip...
selling for $2200
according to the pics the hull look's good except for some paint peeling on bottom. and a few nuts and bolts on the motor are rusted looking.

Price sounds about right, assuming everything's in good working order.
what motor is it?
If you live in a jurisdiction that issues boat titles, and the owner doesn't have the title, run (don't walk) as fast as you can in the opposite direction.
Do not *DON'T* buy a used boat without compression testing the motor (at a minimum). If the lowest cylinder isn't' within 5% of the highest, walk away.
Ask the owner to start the engine for you -- if he does so without providing water to the lower unit, walk away -- the boat hasn't been properly cared for.
I wouldn't buy without a lake test -- a motor can run all day on the muffs and sound perfectly happy, until you put a load on it.
