Weight Distribution or Sway bar? Towing across country?
I am going to tow a 6x14 single axle haulmark trailer across county...I have an '06 Jeep Liberty..It states that the Maximun towing is 5,000 lbs..The trailer weighs aprox 1500 & i am going to load another 1500 lbs....Total towing is around 3000....maybe a little more
Should i invest in a sway bar? How about a weight distribution hitch?

You are well within the towing capacity of the vehicle, so a normal class III frame-mounted hitch should do the trick.
A 3,000 lb load really should have trailer brakes -- in fact many states require brakes on any trailer with a gross weight rating over 3,000. This is one safety issue you want to take seriously; without brakes, your stopping distance is going to be quite a bit longer -- it might surprise you, so be prepared.
Load the trailer with care -- you need 7% to 10% of the total trailer weight on the tongue. You can check it with a bathroom scale.
Too much weight on the tongue takes weight off the tow vehicle's front wheels, creating a dangerous condition.
Too little weight on the tongue takes weight off the tow vehicle's rear wheels, creating a dangerous condition.
In my experience, a tongue-light trailer sways uncontrollably at highway speeds, while a tongue-heavy trailer will shake the tow vehicle noticeably.
The biggest strain on the vehicle (apart from the brakes), will be on the transmission. Unless your owner's manual says otherwise, turn O/D off in hilly terrain or any time the transmission is "hunting", but leave it on for normal driving.
Be aware that at highway speeds, any little movement of the steering wheel gets translated into trailer sway, so don't do things you ordinarily do while driving, like change the CD, or taking off your jacket, stuff like that.
When you stop, try to avoid driving into a space that you can't get out of by driving straight ahead.

this jeep didn't come with a trailer hitch
there is an outlet to plug in the correct trailer wiring harness. (82207248AB) is the harness. List price is 143.00
