How to install a LED trailer hitch cover on a 2007 GMC Sierra?

I have the heavy duty 7 pin harness in the bumper, but the one I won has a flat 4 pin connector, there is an adapter but I want to hide the wires, preferably behind the bumper

best way is to buy a 4way and either wire into 7way on back side where wires go in or simply splice into wires. wires on hitch cover are color coded same as wires into factory 7pin. spice 4pin into it rather than spiceing cover so you can remove it if you need to.
