Cheap way to move across Canada?

I am moving from Edmonton AB to Fredericton NB, and I am looking for a cheap way to move a few pieces of furniture (only two leather chairs). Does anybody know what a good/cheap method of moving these would be? I cannot haul a U-haul trailer because VW said installing a trailer hitch would void my warranty.

I would just open the phone book and look for furniture movers or freight companies and get some quotes.
