trailer hitch adapter. Anyone ever use the 2" to 1.25" inch adapter for a cargo carrier?

I have a class II hitch on my car that accepts 1 1/4 posts. I want to buy a light cargo carrier that has a 2" post. They sell adapters for this and wanted to know if anyone has come across any problems.

Before you buy a cargo carrier for a 2" receiver, think about getting one with a 1 1/4. Reese makes one just for class I & II receivers. Part # 6500. If you use an adapter, your wieght rating will be reduced by approx. 1/3.
