Did I get a good deal on my 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5S?
This is the first time I've bought a new car from a dealership. I think I got a good deal but I'm not exactly sure. Here's the breakdown of what I paid and what the MSRP and invoice prices are for this model:
2009 Altima 2.5S Sedan (CVT) + splash guards, kick plates, floor mats
MSRP: $22,715
Invoice: $21,266
My Price w/ dest. charge (before tax+fees): $18,900
My Price (out-the-door): $20,170
I bought it before the new year. What do you think? Good deal? Could I have gotten it lower? If so, by how much?
The way I look at my cars is I figure out the discount to MSRP that I am getting.
($22,715 (MSRP) - $18,900 (Price before tax+fees)) / ($22,715 (MSRP)) * 100 = 16.8% off MSRP
