floor mats vw jetta
Accelerator sticking in 1995 VW Jetta?
It happens only when I press the accelerator down almost to the floor,
Any thoughts? Bad Transmission? Bad cable? It isn't a floor mat or anything making it stuck. I will actually hear a the thing pop back out after being stuck. Any help appreciated 
Oops it didn't add part of it...Well it only sticks when it's in drive. It won't stick in neutral, park or reverse. When it's in drive, it will stick when I press the accelerator down close to the floor, stick for about 1 second then pop back up (I can actually gear it get unstuck). It won't get stuck when I try to pull the cable from under the hood. But strictly only in drive.
Look under the dash at the accelerator pedal all up and down to see if anything is catching it. Also look at cable - for signs of frayed or broken wires. Check cable in engine compartment for same things. Considering it IS 14 years old it could be anything.
