Help learning trust in a marriage.?

My first husband cheated on me and was the abusive type that tried to say I was crazy and all that crap even when I totally caught him with notes and phone calls. They are now married............
But my husband of 7 years is so upset with me because I have trouble trusting him. To my knowledge he has never cheated and always says he never would....But I have caught him in lies, stupid ones, like getting girly magazines and find a receipt that shows he did, or saying he didn't talk to someone but come to find out he did but didn't want to start an argument with me. He drives truck (not a semi) for a living and is gone a couple of nights a week to all different places. I don't like it. I hear about the skanky lot lizards and I just don't like it. He thinks I need therapy to try and get over this and he's probably right. Why can't I do it myself? I want to trust. It's so aggravating.
