trailer hitch wiring harness
how do I Install a RV trailer Plug onto an 05 Dodge that didn't come with a towing package?
My truck is a 2005 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab, w/ a 4.7ltr V8 engine, auto trans and 2 wheel Drive. It didn't come stock with a towing package, and i am in the process of installing one myself. I have the hitch covered, but the trailer electical wireing is another story. It comes equiped with a flat 4 wire plug, but I want an RV plug. I have been told by friends that my truck should have a wire harness w/ a box conector on the end, somwhere ziptied to the frame. I have droped the spair tire in search
of it, and I have turned up nothing. I traced the wires backfrom the cab and havn't found anything yet. So what do I need to do to get my truck wired? thanks for your concideration and help on my matter.- Neal
go to the dealership and ask for a trailer plug for your truck the trailer plug for most new trks are a dealer item since the plug rite up into the wire harness in the back of the trk
