I purchased a used 2008 Z71 without one. Chevy seems to have roof rack accessories for all other SUV and truck models except the Avalanche.
I'm looking for the roof rack hardware (Side rails that would connect permanently to the roof) that so far is not offered as an accessory.

When the avalanche came out in 2002 the factory has offered a dealer installed roof rack for the avalanche.The factory also has a soft top Carrier that fits with the factory rack and has a good amount of cargo space and is waterproof.These soft carriers can be ordered through your local chevy dealers parts dept.Ive also installed the factory roof racks on the avalanches sence they came out at my chevy dealership.Best of luck.
