Do commercial trucks (semi's) have enough leg and headroom ?
I am interested in getting a CDL and driving a semi ,but was concerned about comfort on long hauls do to the fact that I am 6' 5" 290 lbs. I currently drive a full size pick up truck that gives me plenty of interior room for long trips but wasn't sure about the interior specs of a big rig. I don't want to be like a sardine in a can on those long trips . Any answers to this would be helpful .
Almost all of the semis on the road today have enough leg and head room for larger people. Most have tilt steering wheels, which allow you to adjust it to your comfort.
If you can be comfortable in your pick up, then you shouldn't have any trouble in a big rig.
Of course, if you are buying one, you would want to check it out by actually sitting and moving around in it.

If possible, get the truck thoroughly examined by a mechanic for any problems inside the engine. Make sure this mechanic is NOT appointed by the dealer or else both of them might take you for a ride and sell you a bad truck. Get your own mechanic and let him take his own time to inspect the truck.
Bargain – This too is equally important. The dealer deliberately increases the price of the used truck for sale in the first place so that he makes a lot of money in profit even after the bargaining. Remember to negotiate hard. The asking price is just the asking price and nothing else. It can be brought down easily.
