if a semi truck on the ice road starts to jack knife of gets out of control, is there an emergency buttons or something to drop the trailer so that the trailer and the cab become disconnected and help maybe save lives?

no . just stay out of the way! the trailer is connected to the truck. it had air lines hooked to the trailer from the truck for the air brakes on the trailer. if the trailer does some how become disconnected from the truck the air lines will streach out so far and then be disconnected and then the breaks will lock up automaticly because no air to the air breaks
