mud flaps hhr
Should the car dealership be responsible?
We bought a 2006 HHR. The dealer put new "aqua tread" tires on it. The first time we drove it in snow, the gravel from the road chipped the paint of the bottom in front of the rear tires. My husband took it back. They said, "try mud flaps." We did, and it did not help at all. Since the dealer put the aqua tread tires on it, (they are wider and throw the gravel out and back), should they be responsible for replacing the tires and reparing the paint? There is a place about six inches across and four inches high where the paint has been chipped off down to the metal.
If the dealer installed tires that were not a factory approved size I think you have a case. If you did not request the tires you could go to small claims court to plead your case.
