F350 collision estimate? Ballpark figure?
So I'm borrowing a 1999 Ford F350 7.3L Turbo Diesel Extended Cab and Long Bed. It was parked outside my house and a driver in a Toyota Tundra totally hit it. It moved the Ford about 8 feet or so up onto the curb, but no damage to the front. The bumper is going to need to be replaced, the tailgate has a good amount of damage, the rear panel is completely bent, with the mud flaps touching the tire, and one of the taillights is broken. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure? I realize you can't give me an exact estimate without seeing the damage, but assuming the frame isn't bent, what are we looking at?
Easiest way to get a good estimate is to take it to a body shop. They deal with that kind of stuff everyday. You can search around at different body shops and see what kind of deal they could make you. Might not be as expensive as you think. You could also visit a junk yard and get the basic parts like a new bumber, tail gate, tail light. They might not be the same color but for the side panel damage you will need to take it to a body shop, and while you are there you could have them paint the tail gate etc. More than likely there is no frame damage done.
