monroe heavy duty truck shocks
What is a good price on shocks for a 98 4x4 Chevy pickup?
I have a 98 Chevy 4x4 extended cab pickup truck. I need four new shocks. Honestly I have no idea what a good price on shocks is. I generally don't replace them. However I'm approaching 90,000 miles on this truck. A local shop quoted a price of 300 dollars for the option of either sensitrack (I believe was the name) or a heavy duty version of Monroe shocks.
Is 300 reasonable? If not please explain. My guess is I could get it done cheaper at a chain, but this guy isn't some bonehead kid, so you have to factor in the quality of the work.
Thanks for the help.
I would go to a off road shop and get some Rancho RS 5000 shocks they are a gas shock. They have a lifetime warranty on them and usually cost about 30 - 40 bucks a piece.
