77 Chevrolet Big 10 or Camper Edition?

I have a 1977 Chevrolet Silverado that I am restoring and was wondering about the different packages they offered in that year. I was looking at the "Big 10" option and it showed that it had heavier duty suspension to get it just over 1/2 ton capabilities to bypass the emission tests. My truck is a camper edition and has the heavier duty suspension also but does not have the 4 in the 4th digit of the VIN number. Even though it's a camper edition and not a "Big 10", is it safe to call it that anyway since it has the same weight capabilities?

Jimney...the Big 10 was offered from 74 up...(I don't know about the 73 but I have seen 74 Big 10's)

The Big 10 option wasn't offered until 1978. You can call it a Big 10 though if you want if you don't care about an accurate resto.

I searched Chevy Big 10 on Google and it seems every truck is either a '78 or '79.

During that entire time their prototype bus accumulated over a million miles and launched a reputation for excellence and quality that the Mack Truck name carries on today.

Bulldog is Born

During the first World War, the Mack AC truck was used by the British military to move supplies and equipment to their soldiers on the front lines. The soldiers began to call the trucks "Bulldog Macks" in reference to the British Bulldog, which is the country's mascot. This was due to the reliability and durability of the Mack truck in such tough conditions. A few years after the war the Bulldog became the official logo for the Mack Trucking Company.
