chevy truck mud guards

need a winch on my truck i do a lot of mudding?
i have a 2004 chevy avalanche and want to put a winch on it. i do a lot of mudding and i need one that can pull my truck out when i get stuck. winch would be used for pulling another truck its size and a jeep wrangler and a tracker. id like it to be up in the front and i have nothing to mount it on. i have no grill guard no nothing. what all do i need to put a winch on my truck and what kind of a winch do i need. i have no clue what my truck wieghs and i was thinking aroud an 8000 to 10000 lb winch.
the Min you want is twice your truck weight . The closest is a 12.5K winch. The best way to go is to change the bumper. Why I did like the system that mounted a receiver hitch at the front; so you could attach the winch to the front or rear. When i got stuck it was a real pain to install in the mud, and the receiver hitch was lower than the bumper and had to be dug out first. RoadArmor, Iron Bull, and a host of other make real good bumpers that are designed for winch bumpers and have a meaner edge to them.
